CURRENT PRODUCTION

Based on the novel by Robert Louis Stevenson and set in the 1750s, Mathew Dickinson Productions' latest production is Treasure Island, the coming-of-age story of Jim, a young Devonshire lad, who after the chance discovery of a closely guarded map, sets off across the ocean in search of buried treasure on a remote Caribbean island. On the way, he encounters a mutinous cook, blood-thirsty pirates, fights pitched battles, learns the value of friendship and loyalty, and meets a treasure obsessed parrot!
This exciting adventure is the classic battle between good and evil , but with a touch of humour, a few songs and dances, a sea shanty or two, and some casualties along the way, all in the search for buried treasure!
The show will appeal to adults and children but is not be suitable for the under 10s. Please note this production features sounds of gunfire and cannon fire, and includes scenes of fighting and death.
